November 16, 2021 - Disney Springs
With a day off and nothing much to do, I decided to take a trip to Disney Springs just to walk around and take in the new holiday sights. I also wanted to see what the World of Disney store had in terms of 50th Anniversary merch. While it did have more than the store I work in, it wasn't too much that I had a strong desire to buy. I moved on to the Marketplace Co-op and was greeted by a familiar bird.
Also inside the Co-op were two old ride vehicles on display:
I went from the Co-op to the Pin Traders store to Art of Disney all without finding things to purchase. I decided to just start taking pictures of the scenery
As I was making my way around the LEGO store, I saw a fancy X-mas tree from the little scavenger hunt thing Disney Springs does. So as I made my way around I stopped and got pictures of the trees I could find. I might have to go back and get the official map so I could get the prize
As a lark, I was near Gideon's Bakehouse and asked how long the virtual queue wait was. When the employee there said there was no virtual queue and the standby line was just 15-20 minutes, my simple question turned into a piece of Peanut Butter Cup cake and a Peanut Butter nitro cold brew.
With my cake in a bag and my cold brew in hand, I set off to find more trees.
As I made my way back to the parking garage from the Cirque Du Soleil show end of Disney Springs, I came across two giant murals celebrating the Princesses (I don't know if there's more around, I only saw these two)
And now back to trees
And that was it for my trip to Disney Springs. Sorry to end with balls, but that was the finish line for my lap around the place. And yes, the Gideon cake was delicious as it always is. I'm just hoping we're now on the upswing of issues with the supply chain cause I miss there being a ton of new merchandise each and every time I went.
